Nora O'Keeffe from Glenough, Co. Tipperary, was appointed as a regional organiser of Cumann na mBan by Brighid O'Mullane, the organisation's national organiser. She had returned to Ireland in 1919 with Margaret Skinnider and was immediately involved in revolutionary activity, such as disposing of the gelignite captured at the Soloheadbeg ambush. O'Keeffe would play a key role in Civil War propaganda for the anti-treaty side, fighting alongside her sister and brothers. A video about this intriguing Tipperarywoman is forthcoming on this site.
