Killaloe and the O'Brien dynasty

Brian Bórime MacCennétig (Brian Ború) was the progenitor of the Ua Bhriain or O'Brien dynasty. He was born in Kincora, now Killaloe, Co. Clare, just across the River Shannon from Ballina, Co. Tipperary. 

This forthcoming video focuses on some of the historic sites of Killaloe and their context in the rise of Brian and his descendants. Brian was crowned king of Munster and subsequently High King of Ireland at the Rock of Cashel in 978 and 1002 respectively.
